Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the InsightSpatial website (www.insightspatiallabs.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it. InsightSpatial is the trading name of Insight Spatial LLC ("we," "us").
Our apps have their own privacy policies, which describe how each app handles your data: Dipper Area Measure and Dipper Field.
1. The short version
- You can browse this website without giving us any personal information.
- We collect your email address only if you sign up for launch updates or email us.
- We do not sell personal information or use tracking cookies for our own advertising.
- YouTube players load only if you choose to play a video. YouTube handles information from its player as described below.
2. Launch updates
When you sign up for Dipper Go launch updates, we collect your email address. Our email service also records when you signed up and confirmed, the IP address you used, and the wording of the consent you gave, so that we can show you asked to receive our emails.
We use this information only to send you news about Dipper Go and related InsightSpatial products. We will not add you to the list unless you confirm your email address.
Our emails record which links you click, so we can tell which updates are useful. We do not track whether you open them.
You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. Unsubscribing removes you from future emails. We keep a record that you unsubscribed so that you are not added again by mistake.
We use MailerLite to collect sign-ups and send these emails. MailerLite processes this information on our behalf.
To keep bots from abusing the sign-up form, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads when you start entering your email address and checks technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type, and TLS fingerprint, to tell people from bots. Cloudflare uses these signals to detect and block bots and to improve that detection, not to identify you; see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum. To limit repeated sign-ups, our website also keeps your IP address for up to one hour and a one-way code made from your email address for up to one day.
3. Emails you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Our email is routed through Cloudflare and stored by our email provider.
4. Website analytics and security
Our free tools (converters and calculators) run entirely in your browser. What you enter, including your location if you choose to share it with the GPS coordinates tool, stays on your device; we do not receive or store it.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies and does not track you across websites.
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. We do not use these to identify you.
5. Links to other sites
This website links to the App Store, Google Play, and other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit them.
Articles may include YouTube videos. We show a local video card first, without loading a YouTube player or thumbnail. If you press Play, your browser connects to YouTube using its privacy-enhanced player. YouTube may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details, along with your interactions with the player. Google's Privacy Policy applies to that interaction. You can also use the link to watch the video on YouTube instead.
6. How long we keep information
- Launch update subscribers: until you unsubscribe, or until we stop sending launch updates. After that, we keep only the record needed to respect your unsubscribe.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to answer you and for up to 3 years afterwards, unless the law requires longer.
- Cloudflare technical logs: for the short periods Cloudflare sets for security and operations.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email us at the address below. We will answer within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to our use of your information, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for sending launch updates is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Our legal basis for answering your emails and keeping the website secure is our legitimate interest in doing so.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards.
9. Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles personal information, we will update this page and the effective date before the change takes effect. If the change is significant, we will also tell launch update subscribers by email.
